Watching YouTube for many years researching and learning about all things swing and club, two names stand out when it comes to informative and engaging golf content.
Rick (above left) and Peter (above right) are English PGA professionals, great mates and regular golfers. They’ve both played to a pretty high level and are now respected coaches and club fitters. What is admirable about the boys is that they’re some of the most popular golf peeps on YouTube. Rick has 1.47 million subscribers and Peter just short of 400,000. That’s an incredible amount of golf engagement and goes to prove how popular golf can be.
They have success but they’re not out of reach. Many who get insta-famous or whatever the fuck people say now, become arrogant sods full of their own importance. These guys remain true to their mission which, presumably, is to promote great golf. They don’t profess to know it all and regularly feature other pros and club fitters as well as golf courses. Sure, they get to do some dandy stuff like playing in major pro-am events and interview top players but that’s down to hard work and toil more than good luck.
Most impressive is their ability to have fun with banter and gadgets and cool equipment while not taking the piss. They are obviously passionate about the whole thing and it shows. Rick and Peter aren’t afraid to show their mistakes which is important to club golfers given that we see the top golfers smashing hard golf courses. The pair are also very accurate and unbiased about their reviews. Remaining true to you and I is of obvious importance.
The episodes on YouTube where they collaborate with other pros and cross-promote, or have fittings or go to other courses are especially popular. It’s not hard to see why. The two PGA pros are engaging and hard working as well as making it all simple – a trait the golf industry hasn’t really got to grips with.
There are others on YouTube that have great followings but being a golf nerd myself, these two stand above the pulpit. Rick’s channel is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFHZHhZaH7Rc_FOMIzUziJA

Get along and check out their stuff.
