Callaway Chrome Wow

I played golf yesterday. Not a giant surprise there I suppose, but I made the decision to play with a Callaway Chrome Soft ball. I have worked on my swing for the last 3 years to get it to a point, at least with the irons, I can play reasonable golf. My driver still requires some tutelage. Possibly a new club.

To describe to you what I do in my swing is essentially swing back and when I get to the top bow my left wrist and hit the ball as hard as I can. The result is a shot that goes forty miles (for me).

I combined this new found bio-mechanical phenomenon with the Callaway howitzer round and “holy shitballs Batman!”. Ball. Go. Far.

Being a relatively low ball hitter I could launch the spud higher and carry it farther. It landed softly and was able to maintain control.

My advice – go try some. The PGA Tour guys may hit it too far, but we don’t – make it fun by hitting the ball obscene distances. The very essence of male ego.

The weekend saw some great sports. A bigger, faster and angrier Joseph Parker beat up his opponent very well. Junior Fa looks like he might be another great boxing prospect too. Tom Latham scored his 7th test century at the Basin. The Aussies and Indians are battling out at the new ground in Perth. The National Sevens was on and the Father/Son golf tournament that saw Big and Little John Daly and the Golden Bear with Grandson near the top of the leaderboard. Incidentally, Davis Love III and his son Dru won the tournament by shooting 56 on the last day. That is 16 under par. For one round. F&%k me. I know it’s a scramble, but it’s a 2 person scramble. That’s gahlfin yer ball.

A week til Christmas peeps – be safe out there.
