Well, well, well. After the Lil girl comment by PGA boss Ted Bishop, blow hard Patrick Reed has called himself a f@&$ing f@&$ot for missing an easy putt. Well, I say. What a truculent midget.
The thing is Ted Bishop was fired…almost straight away by what can only be described as over-sensitive bullshit. What will become of this self-trumpeting tour pro? A tangent if you will; how does one blow smoke up one’s own arse?
I think to show any gumption at all the PGA Tour needs to at least suspend him. Actually, that’s not what I think at all. Ted Bishop was the victim of politically correct tripe and no doubt this will be the same.
Lil girl? A sexuality based slur? Aimed at himself? Give me strength. I been called and heard worse from my own friends. I been called worse and heard worse within 30 seconds of the opening whistle playing rugby. I’ve said worse, heard worse and been called worse during my time as a competitive lifeguard. I wonder if the fish heads in golf will address the real issues?
Slow play, idiot committee types, falling memberships, Taylormade Golf bringing out a new set of irons and a driver every three days, robotic tour pros like Hunter Mahan (who appear to have the on-course personality of a torn pocket), muppets like Bubba Watson yelling at all and sundry for his mistakes then blubbering. These are problems for the tour and worldwide golf not a diminutive smoke blower who said “faggot”.
I’m not a fan of Patrick Reed, but he has and adds colour to the tour. That, my friends, is what is going to win back players and make people watch.
Reed is obviously a bit of an outspoken quantity, but for gods sake leave him alone and let him play golf. I happened to be at the Phoenix Open one year, and walking to the 17th tee, the self-proclaimed expert on all things golf; Paul Azinger yelled “fuck!”. Now, if we look up the true meaning of that….it has far worse implications than lil girl or faggot.
