I read an article this morning on Stuff by Marc Hinton. I like the way he writes.
The crux of the article centres on the poor attendances at ITM Cup games. Yes, Steve Tew should be concerned about bad gate sales in our premier competition. However, he alludes looking for a ‘silver bullet’ to fix it and then almost in the same breath goes on speaking about an 18th Super Rugby side!!!! Is he serious!
The NPC/ITM Cup is the very stuff that NZ rugby is built on and should be the focus of provincial representative rugby. I’ll tell you what the silver bullet is Steve-o…get rid of the Super XXXXXV!!
